Eden Hazard to Real Madrid: Chelsea star makes big claim about his future
EDEN HAZARD has claimed he will stay at Chelsea for a 'couple' of seasons, ending speculation of a summer move to Real Madrid.
Eden Hazard had a strong campaign with Chelsea, winning the Blues Player of the Season award and being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
His fine performances reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid who were reportedly willing to make a world-record £100million bid for the 26-year-old
However, the Belgium international has shut down any potential move to the La Liga giants this summer, claiming he staying put at Chelsea for at least the next "couple of years".
"I'm good here," Hazard told Singapore outlet The Strait Times.
"I'm at one of the best clubs in the world and I think I'm gonna stay for a couple of years.
"I'm very happy. You can see on the pitch that I'm happy.
"Next season we will have the Champions League to play but we want to keep the Premier League trophy in Chelsea.
"It's going to be hard but we know they [supporters] expect a lot from Chelsea now.
"But now is the time to think about holidays."
Hazard is currently away on international duty with Belgium who play the Czech Republic on Monday night in a friendly (7.45pm).
They follow that up with a World Cup qualifier against Estonia next Friday.
